Warriors Disappoint Fans as Steph Curry's 38 Not Enough in Loss to Cooper Flagg, Mavs
A tremendous night from Stephen Curry wasn't enough to get the Golden State Warriors past the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
The Mavs beat the Warriors 123-115 to hand Golden State its second loss in a row after four consecutive wins.
Curry put on quite the show with 38 points, but his support cast struggled, as only one other starter was in double figures.

After the loss, fans called for the Warriors to get Curry some help.
Despite being 37 years old, Curry hasn't missed a beat this season. The veteran is putting up 27.1 points and 5.1 assists per game this year, marking his highest scoring average since the 2022-23 campaign.
His co-star, Jimmy Butler, was putting up 20 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, but he suffered a season-ending torn ACL earlier this week, leaving Curry with even less help.
With Butler done for the year, Golden State needs someone to step up in his place. De'Anthony Melton did his part off the bench on Thursday, posting 22 points, but the Warriors need that kind of effort all around.
A more realistic option could be for the Dubs to explore some trade options ahead of next month's deadline.
