Draymond Green, Mike Brown Hug Reportedly Angered Some With Knicks After Flagrant Foul on KAT
Mike Brown reportedly upset some members of the New York Knicks after hugging Draymond Green last week.
ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported on Tuesday that Brown hugging the Warriors veteran rubbed some people in New York the wrong way.
"From what I understand, that did not land well with a lot of folks there in New York," Shelburne said on NBA Today. "In that locker room or even in the organization. While you can understand why he might have a bond with Draymond Green, I don't think that landed well, especially in the middle of a losing streak."
During last Thursday's matchup, Green was assessed a technical foul after he appeared to trip Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns. Clearly, members of the Knicks took offense to that, and in turn weren't happy about Brown chopping it up with Green afterwards.
Brown was the Warriors' associate head coach from 2016 to 2022, winning three NBA titles with the team, so he has plenty of friends on Golden State's sideline. Be that as it may, Brown may have to skip the handshakes with his former players next time around to win his own team back.
