Jalen Brunson, Mike Brown Defend Knicks Crowd After 4th Straight Loss, 'I Would Boo Too'
Mike Brown knows he and the New York Knicks haven't given fans much to cheer for as of late.
After the Knicks dropped their fourth consecutive game with a loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, Browns said he didn't blame the crowd for booing their home squad.
"I'm OK with the boos. If we're playing crappy, boo," he told reporters. "If I was in the stands, I would boo, too. You pay hard money to come to the games and this is a form of entertainment for the fans. They know good basketball from bad basketball."
Jalen Brunson had a similar sentiment after the game:
There wasn't much to be happy about for Knicks fans on Monday. While star point guard Jalen Brunson returned to action after missing the last few games due to an ankle injury, he had just 22 points on a lackluster 9-of-24 from the field.
On the defensive side, the Knicks allowed Max Christie, who is averaging 12.5 points, to score 24, and let Moussa Cisse, who is putting up 3.5 points per game, score 15 points.
New York is still in third place in the East at 25-18, so there's no need to panic, but Brown knows he'll need to turn things around soon to win back Knicks fans.
