The Bills had an opportunity to drive for a game-winning score in overtime, although a deep pass from Allen was ripped away from Buffalo wideout Brandin Cooks and intercepted by Broncos defensive back Ja'Quan McMillian.

Allen finished 25-of-39 for 283 yards and three touchdowns compared to a pair of interceptions. He rushed for 66 yards, but also lost two fumbles.

Allen fell to 0-7 in overtime games throughout his career, including the playoffs.

After the Bills fell short of a Super Bowl once again despite making their seventh consecutive playoff appearance, fans discussed their window to potentially hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

The Bills started off strong in Denver, taking a 7-3 lead at the end of the first quarter and forcing the Broncos to punt on their first drive of the second.

Buffalo picked up 31 yards in two plays on its ensuing possesion, although a fumble on a two-yard run by James Cook was picked up by Denver to keep the Bills off the board.

The Broncos got back on track with two long touchdown drives, while Buffalo could only muster a field goal to trail 17-10.

With 16 seconds left until halftime and no timeouts remaining, the Bills chose to run a play instead of taking a knee. The decision was costly, as Allen fumbled the ball on a scramble attempt and allowed Denver to kick a field goal to end the second quarter.

The Broncos led 20-10 at the half.

Allen fumbled again to open the third quarter, as a Broncos field goal extended their lead to 13 points.

Buffalo's offense finally got back on track with a 73-yard touchdown drive that was capped off by a short grab from Keon Coleman, who ran into the end zone for a 10-yard score.

Allen and Broncos quarterback Bo Nix traded interceptions, but the Bills started to find some consistency on offense in the fourth quarter.

Early in the quarter, Allen connected with tight end Dalton Kincaid for a 14-yard touchdown that gave Buffalo a one-point lead. Two possessions later, the Bills extended their advantage to four points with a field goal by Matt Prater.

The Broncos quickly responded, as Nix found Marvin Mims for a 26-yard touchdown that put Denver up 30-27.

With 50 seconds remaining in regulation, Allen and the Bills were still able to drive down the field before Prater sent the game to overtime.

Buffalo forced Denver to punt on the opening possession of the extra quarter, but Allen's interception ended the Bills' final drive of the season. The Broncos drove 75 yards, aided by multiple penalties, before cementing the victory with the kick by Lutz.

Cook was a key contributor for Buffalo despite his fumble, picking up 117 yards on 24 carries. Kincaid hauled in six receptions for a team-high 83 yards and a score.

For the Broncos, Nix finished 26-of-46 for 279 yards and three touchdowns while getting picked off once. He also added 29 yards on the ground.

The Bills amassed 449 total yards and picked up 28 first downs against an imposing Denver defense, but five turnovers proved to be the difference in the game.

With Buffalo eliminated, the Broncos will await the winner of the remaining divisional clash between the Houston Texans and New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.
