Pelicans' Derik Queen Calls Himself 'The Blizzard' on 1-of-1 Autographed Trading Card in Photo

New Orleans Pelicans rookie center Derik Queen referred to himself as "The Blizzard" on an autographed 1-of-1 Topps trading card.

The 2025 first-round pick, whose initials of "DQ" match the fast food chain Dairy Queen, previously signed an NIL contract with the restaurant during his final college season at Maryland.

Dairy Queen's signature item is the Blizzard, which has been used as a nickname for Queen by his Pelicans teammates.

The 21-year-old has been a bright spot for New Orleans this season, averaging 12.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 48.9 percent from the field.
