Nikola Jokic, Taco Bell Link Up After Years of Being Trolled from Viral NBA Draft Video

Nikola Jokić has apparently gotten over the fact that the 2014 NBA draft was airing a Taco Bell commercial when he was selected by the Denver Nuggets.

Jokić, who has famously said he would never try a Quesarito, was shown eating one in a video shared Friday as part of an ad partnership with the company.

Jokić said last February he had never tried a Quesarito because of the draft-day ad.

Taco Bell started running an ad campaign on Dec. 18 asking Jokić to try the product in what the company described as "a friendly apology."

The Nuggets handed out Quesarito-themed shirts to fans on Dec. 20. Jokić said at the time the shirts were "funny," but that he was still not going to try the product.

Jokić later showed up to a game wearing a shirt featuring a Quesarito above the words "still won't try it."

Using the No. 41 pick of the 2014 NBA draft to select Jokić has paid off for the Nuggets, who won the 2023 title behind a Finals MVP run from the superstar.

Jokić, who is averaging 29.6 points while leading the NBA in both rebounds (12.2) and assists (11) per game, will now look to lead the Nuggets on another deep run next spring.
