Luka Doncic Hyped as NBA MVP by Fans amid Epic Showing for Lakers vs. Hornets

Luka Dončić excelled during the Los Angeles Lakers' matchup with the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena.

Dončić started off strong with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting in the first quarter and ended up crossing the 30-point threshold for the 23rd time this season.

Fans called for him to earn more MVP consideration during the contest.

While the Lakers entered Thursday's action with a 1-3 record in their prior four games, Dončić has remained stellar offensively.

Prior to the clash with Charlotte, he averaged a league-leading 33.4 points to go along with 8.8 assists and 7.9 rebounds per game. Dončić also shot 46.4 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from three-point territory.

With another efficient night against the Hornets, the 26-year-old is on his way towards earning his sixth All-Star nod.
