Giants Reportedly Willing to Offer John Harbaugh 'Almost Anything He Wants,' Latest NFL Rumors

Andrew PetersJan 14, 2026

The New York Giants are seemingly all in on John Harbaugh.

According to Fox Sports' Ralph Vacchiano, a team source said the Giants are willing to offer the former Baltimore Ravens head coach "almost anything he wants."

According to Vacchiano, the source added that Harbaugh has made "significant" requests, but they "don't seem too extensive."

"But he's worth it," the source said. "You don't get a shot at a coach like this too often. Sometimes you just have to do whatever it takes."

If there is a coach who can justify making "significant" requests during this year's coaching cycle, it's Harbaugh. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the veteran head coach's agent heard from seven different teams in the first 45 minutes after he was fired by the Ravens last week.

It's safe to say he's the most coveted head coaching candidate this offseason, so whichever team lands him will have to be willing to meet any demands he might have.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that the Giants, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins are viewed as the favorites to land Harbaugh. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network noted that Harbaugh "likes what he sees" in the Titans because of their young quarterback, Cam Ward, plus their $100-plus in cap space, high draft picks, new stadium and general manager Mike Borgonzi.

Harbaugh has interviewed with the Falcons over the phone and will meet with the Giants at their facility on Wednesday for his first in-person interview, according to SchefterSchefter also noted earlier this week that Harbaugh "already has been conducting preliminary and extensive phone calls" with New York, Tennessee, Cleveland, Las Vegas and Arizona.

The Giants could use a proven winner like Harbaugh after more than a decade of inconsistency. New York has been to the playoffs just two times since its Super Bowl win in 2011, whereas Harbaugh had the Ravens in the postseason mix nearly every year.

The Giants have plenty of young talent to work with, starting with quarterback Jaxson Dart, they just need the right head coach to push them in the right direction.
