Dell Curry's No. 30 Jersey Reportedly Will be Retired by Hornets, Won 1994 NBA Sixth Man Award
The Charlotte Hornets will retire former guard (and current Hornets television analyst) Dell Curry's No. 30 jersey, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
Curry, the father of Golden State Warriors guards Stephen and Seth Curry, played in the NBA from 1986-2002. He spent a decade with the Hornets (1988-1998) and earned Sixth Man of the Year honors in 1994. Curry averaged 11.7 points per game over his career while shooting 40.2 percent from three-point range.

Curry was part of the first-ever Hornets team in 1988-89, and he was the longest-tenured Hornets player by the time he left the team a decade later via free agency for the Milwaukee Bucks.
He was a key member of some great Hornets teams featuring Alonzo Mourning, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues. Charlotte went to the playoffs four times with Curry aboard, including a pair of trips to the Eastern Conference semifinals in 1993 and 1998.
Other career highlights include scoring 16.3 points per game off the bench in 1993-94 (his Sixth Man of the Year-winning season). Curry also led the NBA with a 47.6 percent three-point rate in 1999 with the Bucks.
Now Curry's No. 30 jersey will be retired in Spectrum Center, cementing his great career in town. The ceremony will go down on Thursday, March 19, when the Hornets host the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m. ET.
