Eagles' A.J. Brown, Nick Sirianni Have Animated Sideline Exchange on Video During 49ers Playoff Game
Tensions were seemingly running high on the Philadelphia Eagles' sideline during the first half of their wild-card matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
Late in the second quarter, wide receiver A.J. Brown and head coach Nick Sirianni had an animated conversation on the sideline and had to be separated.

Sirianni told Erin Andrews of Fox Sports that the exchange was because of the emotions of a playoff game, but said, "We're just fine."
Sirianni further explained the exchange after the game:
On the drive before, Brown and quarterback Jalen Hurts failed to connect on back-to-back deep balls, and the Eagles went three-and-out.
The relationship between Brown and Philadelphia has been shaky at best this season. In October, amid a rough start to the year for Brown, he admitted that he was frustrated and said he wanted to contribute more.
"I know everybody's counting on me โ that's my thrill," he said to The Athletic'sย Brooks Kubena. "And then I come through. That makes me proud of myself. And I'm doing it over and over again. And then I got another opportunity a couple of plays later. Third down. Everybody knows the ball's coming to me. I love that feeling. Like, it's a rush. I don't do drugs, but that has to be what drugs feels like. And I'm getting that dopamine. And I'm coming through for my team again.
"And that's where the excitement comes from. And that's why it's frustrating at times. And maybe people really misunderstand me as a player, but those feelings โ that's what I want. You may see a little frustration. It's because I really want to contribute. I really want to help this team win. But if I'm not getting the ball, obviously, it's not as fun."
In November, he called his 2025 season a "s--t show." He later discussed those comments with the media, again voicing his frustration about how the season had gone.
"It's not just solely about my situation," he told reporters. "Obviously, I want to win too. I think if we're really focused on winning and doing our job, we can't just keep snapping the band-aid over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble.ย
"At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense? โฆ That's what I'm getting at. It's not about I don't care about winning, all I care about is stats. No. It's been week after week sometimes we're not contributing and doing our job on offense."
Brown finished the regular season with 1,003 yards โ his fewest since 2021 โ and seven touchdowns. The 28-year-old is under contract through the 2029 season.
