Eagles' A.J. Brown Won't Apologize for 'S--t Show' Comments, Explains Frustration

Scott PolacekNov 12, 2025

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown turned heads Tuesday when he suggested on a video stream that the 2025 season has been a "s--t show," and he was not apologetic Wednesday.

Instead, he explained his frustration lies in the offense's overall inconsistency when it comes to contributing to winning and not because he isn't putting up impressive individual statistics.

"It's not just solely about my situation," he told reporters. "Obviously, I want to win too. I think if we're really focused on winning and doing our job, we can't just keep snapping the band-aid over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble.ย

"At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense? โ€ฆ That's what I'm getting at. It's not about I don't care about winning, all I care about is stats. No. It's been week after week sometimes we're not contributing and doing our job on offense."

Brown has consistently been one of the best receivers in the league and entered the 2025 campaign with more than 1,000 yards in five of the last six years.

However, he might not reach that mark this season with 31 catches for 408 yards and three touchdowns.

Notably, he said during the stream on Tuesday that fantasy football players should get rid of him from their teams and the only football highlights he has enjoyed this year have come virtually through Madden:

The comments came on the heels of his lackluster individual performance during Monday's 10-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers. Brown finished with two catches for 13 yards on three targets.

It was the fourth time this season he has failed to even reach the 30-yard mark in a game.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni pointed out after the game that sometimes plays are designed for Brown but need to go elsewhere because opposing defenses are taking him away:

But Brown made it clear Wednesday that his frustration is more with the offense as a whole because he feels like it is consistently putting the defense in a position where it has to bail the unit out in order to win games. And that is exactly what happened on Monday, as the Eagles managed just 10 points but came away with the win.

Philadelphia is still 7-2 on the campaign and in first place in the NFC East, but it is difficult to envision it lifting the Lombardi Trophy for a second straight season if the offense isn't better than it was against the Packers.

So Brown is frustrated.
