The four-time All-Star also criticized the officials in his postgame press conference.

He finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while shooting 11-of-28 from the field and 5-of-11 from three-point territory in the defeat.

Brown didn't attempt a free throw during the contest.

The Celtics took four free throws as a team, while the Spurs attempted 20.

Wembanyama wrapped up a stellar performance, scoring 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting while grabbing six rebounds and blocking three shots. San Antonio outscored Boston by 15 points in his 26 minutes on the floor.

With the Spurs holding a two-point lead and roughly 20 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Wembanyama buried a mid-range jumper to seal the victory.

Despite the loss, Brown has put together an impressive 2025-26 campaign while leading the Celtics to a 24-14 record.

He averaged 29.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists on a nightly basis heading into Saturday's action while shooting 49.9 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from behind the arc.
