Fans Want Matt LaFleur Fired After Packers Collapse vs. Bears to Be Eliminated from NFL Playoffs
The Green Bay Packers collapsed in the second half of the team's Wild Card playoff matchup with the Chicago Bears, falling by the final score of 31-27 at Soldier Field on Saturday.
Head coach Matt LaFleur's squad held a 21-3 edge over the Bears at halftime, but couldn't maintain the lead over the final two quarters. Chicago outscored Green Bay 25-6 in the fourth to come out on top.
Fans called for LaFleur to be fired after the shocking playoff elimination.

The Packers opened Saturday's clash on a high note, scoring touchdowns on each of their first three drives.
Meanwhile, the Bears couldn't find ways to consistently move the chains after a field goal to begin the game. Chicago turned the ball over on downs twice in the first half, while Caleb Williams was also picked off on fourth down to conclude another drive.
Green Bay had an opportunity to extend its 18-point lead before halftime, but kicker Brandon McManus missed a 55-yard field goal as the second quarter expired.
While the Packers punted on every drive in the third quarter, they held the Bears to three points during the period and took a 21-6 edge heading into the fourth.
Chicago eventually rallied with a pair of quick touchdowns before McManus missed another field goal, this time from 44 yards out, that would've extend Green Bay's lead to six points.
The Bears finally took their first lead of the game with just under two minutes remaining, as Caleb Williams connected with DJ Moore for a 25-yard touchdown.
Green Bay drove down to Chicago's 28-yard line on its final possession, but a last-second pass from Jordan Love fell incomplete to seal the result.
LaFleur holds a 76-40-1 record to go along with six playoff appearances across his seven seasons patrolling the sidelines with the Packers. Green Bay sits at 3-6 in nine postseason games during his tenure, though.
A coaching change might not ultimately occur, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Saturday that the Packers and LaFleur planned meet at the end of the season "with the mutual goal of extending his contract."
Still, Green Bay's latest playoff collapse could raise some concerns moving forward.
