Giannis Talks Getting LeBron James' Lakers Jersey in Video, 'He's the Blueprint'

In the aftermath of the Milwaukee Bucks' 105-101 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Giannis Antetokounmpo also came away with a gift when LeBron James gave him his jersey from the hotly-contested duel.

Speaking about James after the victory, Antetokounmpo said "he's the blueprint" for athletes in all sports because of his ability to maintain a consistent level of greatness for more than two decades at this point.

The one-on-one battle between Antetokounmpo and James turned out to be a key difference in the game. Antetokounmpo made two key defensive stops on James, including a block in the final minute to keep the score tied at 101.

Friday marked the first game with Antetokounmpo and James squaring off since Dec. 2, 2022. One of the reasons this matchup felt so special, as Antetokounmpo pointed out afterward, is because it's not implausible this was the last time they play against each other.

Friday was the second of two regular-season matchups between the Bucks and Lakers. The long wait to see the two superstars paid off because they delivered a thriller.

Antetokounmpo put up 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. James finished with 26 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds and three steals.

The Bucks were able to escape Los Angeles with a win, but the spotlight was on the two superstars who were exchanging blows before Antetokounmpo did just enough to get the better of James.
