Clippers Trade Rumors Reveal Asking Price for Ivica Zubac Among Celtics Buzz, More

Amid a rough start to the season for the Los Angeles Clippers, a key big man reportedly has drawn trade interest from around the league.

Per HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers are among the teams that have expressed interest in Ivica Zubac.

Scotto noted that the height of that trade buzz came after Los Angeles started the year 6-21, but it has since quieted thanks to the Clippers winning seven of their last eight games. According to Scotto, "it would have taken at least two first-round picks" for Los Angeles to part ways with Zubac.

It's no surprise to see that kind of asking price on Zubac considering his success in recent years. Zubac, who earned All-Defensive Second Team honors and was a finalist for Most Improved Player last year, is putting up 15 points, 11 boards and a block per game so far this year, serving as a key member of the Clippers' core.

The Celtics' interest in Zubac also makes sense. Boston perhaps didn't seem like a Finals contender heading into the year, but is sitting in third in the East at 23-12 thanks to strong play from Jaylen Brown. The center position is the main area in which the Celtics lack, however, so Zubac would be a major upgrade.

The Pacers are far from a championship-caliber team without star Tyrese Haliburton, but they are seeking a big man to fill the void that Myles Turner left this offseason.
