LeBron James, Bronny 'Spill the Tea,' Answer Funny Questions in Lakers Video

Zach BacharJan 2, 2026

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and his son, Lakers guard Bronny James, teamed up to ask each other comedic questions in a "Spill the Tea" video posted by the team this week.

Bronny started by poking fun at LeBron's famous chalk toss as part of his pregame routine, asking his father how it feels to get leftover chalk dust in his eyes.

"I actually don't feel the residue or whatever, the leftover chalk dust," LeBron explained (0:10 mark). "It's usually for my teammates that be up there when we all doing our daps and our handshakes and stuff."

"I've definitely got hit with some dust," Bronny responded.

When the question of which Lakers player would be most likely to dance first at an event was brought up, Bronny chose LeBron (0:44 mark). Meanwhile, LeBron believed that Bronny would be the best surfer on Los Angeles' roster.

The 21-year-old then asked his father what his "welcome to the Lakers" moment was when he signed with the team as a free agent in 2018.

"I guess media day," LeBron answered (1:22 mark). "You know, just like coming in here and seeing all the banners. Seeing all the trophies, seeing the names and stuff on the wall. That was super cool to just be part of an organization, something that you've seen for so many years and obviously you know the history and the legacy of it. So, I would say media day."

LeBron and Bronny made NBA history as the first father-son duo to share the court together during the 2024-25 season.

This year, LeBron has averaged 20.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game while shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from three-point territory.

While Bronny hasn't been able to carve out a consistent role in the Lakers' rotation, he's been efficient when receiving extended opportunities in the G League. He's recorded 15.5 points and 5.0 assists per game on 57.1/54.5/100.0 shooting splits with the South Bay Lakers, Los Angeles' G League affiliate.
