Before ringing in the new year, Luka Dončić took time to remember what was a monumental 2025 for the five-time All-Star.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar posted a 10-minute recap video of the past 12 months and wrote, "a lot happened."

The video opens the only way it could, with a recap of Dončić landing in Los Angeles after the shocking trade with the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 2.

After a quick clip of Dončić's introductory press conference alongside Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka, there are highlights of reactions from across the sports world to the trade.

Anthony Edwards, Nikola Jokić and Kevin Durant are among the NBA stars featured in the video and their reaction to the deal.

Other key moments include Dončić's Los Angeles debut, his emotional return to Dallas to take on the Mavs on April 9, his various media appearances over the summer and his contract extension with the Lakers.

Even though Dončić, like everyone else, was stunned by the trade and had to reset his entire life in a new city, he has seemed to acclimate well to being set up in Southern California.

In 52 games with the Lakers since the trade, Dončić is averaging 30.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 8.1 assists per contest. He would have the highest per-game scoring average in franchise history with enough games to qualify.

The Lakers are 34-18 in those games, which is around a 54-win pace over an 82-game season. They haven't won that many games in a single season since 2010-11 (57-25).

Dončić and the Lakers are entering 2026 in fifth place in the Western Conference. They will tipoff the new year with back-to-back home games against the Memphis Grizzlies on Jan. 2 and 4.
