James Harden Says He's 'Still Brothers!' with Kevin Durant in Response to Viral Video
Los Angeles Clippers star James Harden made it clear a level of mutual respect remains between he and former teammate Kevin Durant.
During Los Angeles' 128-108 win over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, NBC Sports commentator Reggie Miller commented how the pair "used to be brothers in OKC" over a highlight of Harden scoring against KD. Harden quoted a post of the clip and said, "still brothers!"

Harden and Durant are part of two of the biggest what-ifs in recent NBA history.
The Oklahoma City Thunder's 2024 championship and bright long-term outlook at least remove some of the sting from Harden's 2012 trade to the Rockets. The Brooklyn Nets, on the other hand, are continuing to sift through the fallout after their superteam experiment backfired spectacularly.
In the case of the latter, the relationship between Harden and KD was fraying after their time together.
Jake Fischer reported for Bleacher Report in 2022 that Durant "had grown weary of Harden's purported commitment to the franchise." Fischer also cited a source who said the pair "had a cold war going for the last several months that made everyone miserable" leading up to Harden's trade to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Harden subsequently seemed to find some irony in the fact Durant went on to request his own trade out of Brooklyn.
At this point, there's little reason for any animosity to linger. Harden has found a comfort zone in Southern California, while Durant is focused on helping get the Rockets to the next level.
The passage of time will have also made both forget about the circumstances regarding the Nets' failure to meet their lofty expectations.
