Latest on Colby White, Bulls Trade Rumors Ahead of 2026 NBA Deadline
The Chicago Bulls may be willing to trade Coby White amidst a disappointing 12-15 start to the 2025-26 season.
According to NBA reporter Marc Stein, it "doesn't mean they'll actually move him before the Feb. 5 trade deadline, but the Bulls have left the impression with rival teams inquiring about White that they are more open to trading White than they've ever been."
White, 25, has averaged a career-high 21.2 points and 5.2 assists per game this season after missing the first 11 games of the season, shooting 44 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three. But the Bulls are just 5-6 in games he's played since his return and White is on an expiring contract, so it might make sense for Chicago to move him before the summer.
A one-two punch of Josh Giddey and White also leaves a bit to be desired on the defensive end, another reason the team could choose to go in a different direction. Either way, if Chicago doesn't think it has the appetite for the type of contract White might command in the summer, trading him now is the play.
