Adam WellsDec 18, 2025

In addition to winning their second consecutive World Series title in 2025, Los Angeles Dodgers players also got a payout of nearly $500,000 for their efforts.

MLB announced the total pool for this year's postseason was $128.2 million, with full shares for the Dodgers coming out to $484,747.57 per player.

The total prize pool was down nearly $1 million from last year ($129.1 million), but it remains up by $20 million compared to 2022 and 2023.

Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic noted the Dodgers issued 82 full shares, 12.5 partial shares and $340,000 from their individual team pool of $46 million.

The pool was down this year compared to 2024 even though there were two more total playoff games in 2025 (47 to 45), but last year also had both New York teams make deep postseason runs and the Detroit Tigers in the playoffs for the first time since 2014.

Full shares for the Toronto Blue Jays came out to $354,118.39 for reaching the World Series. Despite losing in the League Championship Series, the Seattle Mariners issued 69 full shares at $182,376.45 per share and Milwaukee Brewers paid out 70 full shares worth $168,852.75 per share.

The entire postseason pool for players is determined based on a percentage of the gate receipts from each playoff round using the minimum number of games that could be played in with the Division Series (three), Championship Series (four) and World Series (four).
