Edge-Defender
2 of 6
After trading Micah Parsons right before the start of the season and Marshawn Kneeland's tragic death, the Cowboys need some help on the edge. Rookie Donovan Ezeiruaku has been solid this season, but the defense needs more help since Sam Williams, Jadeveon Clowney and Dante Fowler Jr. are all free agents.
Rueben Bain Jr., Miami (No. 2)
David Bailey, Texas Tech (No. 12)
Cashius Howell, Texas A&M (No. 13)
Linebacker
3 of 6
Kenneth Murray should be a one-and-done in Dallas with how he's played this season, and Marist Liufau has been bad since being a third-round pick two years ago. The Cowboys' defense desperately needs someone to play next to DeMarvion Overshown on the second level.
Arvell Reese, Ohio State (No. 6)
Sonny Styles, Ohio State (No. 22)
CJ Allen, Georgia (No. 35)
No. 2 Wide Receiver
4 of 6
While re-signing George Pickens could be a priority for Jerry Jones this offseason, Pickens is still an impending free agent and has shown how important it is for Dak Prescott to have another quality wide receiver next to CeeDee Lamb.
Elijah Sarratt, Indiana (No. 36)
Chris Brazzell II, Tennessee (No. 38)
Chris Bell, Louisville (No. 74)
Cornerback
5 of 6
Trevon Diggs is already out in Dallas, and the team's secondary really struggled this season. Despite using a third-round pick on Shavon Revel Jr. and signing DaRon Bland to a contract extension last offseason, the Cowboys could still be in the market for a cornerback during the 2026 draft.
Avieon Terrell, Clemson (No. 20)
Malik Muhammad, Texas (No. 32)
Chandler Rivers, Duke (No. 34)
Safety
6 of 6
With Donovan Wilson's contract about to expire and Malik Hooker's deal only being through 2026, it'd make sense for the Cowboys to target a safety in this year's draft.
Caleb Downs, Ohio State (No. 1)
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Toledo (No. 21)
Zakee Wheatley, Penn State (No. 26)
