Trae Young Updates Injury Rehab and Timeline for Return to Hawks in New Video
Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young is nearing his return to the court, and he gave a detailed look at his injury rehab in a new behind-the-scenes video.
Young dropped a 19-minute video on his YouTube channel in the sixth installment of his docuseries centered around his recovery from a sprained MCL in his right knee.
"I've always understood how long of a process it is to get back, and I always appreciated the guys that found a way to fight back throughout the long process of rehab that, I mean, I didn't understand the pain that you had to go through when you are rehabbing and how long it really takes to get that specific part of your body to get right," Young said. "So that is something that is new and I appreciate more."
The Hawks announced on Saturday that Young "continues to increase his reconditioning activities and is expected to return to practice next week." He's been sidelined since injuring his knee on Oct. 29 against the Brooklyn Nets.
Atlanta is 14-12 and has lost four of its last five games entering Sunday's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers (14-10). Getting Young back on the court would certainly help the Hawks get back on track as they try to remain competitive in the Eastern Conference.
