Warriors' Stephen Curry Makes NBA History vs. T-Wolves, Breaks Michael Jordan's Record

Stephen Curry made both his return from injury and NBA history in the Golden State Warriors' Friday night loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Curry posted 39 points while going 14-for-28 from the field and 6-for-15 from deep in the Warriors' 127-120 loss.

That marked his 94th time Curry has recorded a 35-point game since turning 30, passing Michael Jordan's 93 for the most past that age in NBA history.

The Warriors were ultimately unable to beat the Wolves, despite Curry's production and the absence of Anthony Edwards, with both Al Horford and Draymond Green absent from the lineup.

The outing marked the sixth time Curry has topped 35 points this season despite being limited by injuries to just 17 games.

He had most recently missed five games due to a quad injury before coming back into the lineup against the Timberwolves.

Curry celebrated his return by making an 100-point shot ahead of the Friday night game.

Curry will look to hit another milestone in the near future when he gets the chance to play alongside his brother for the first time in the regular season. Seth Curry, who made his Warriors debut on Dec. 2, was a DNP during Friday's loss to the Timberwolves.

The Warriors return to action Sunday night when a road game against the Portland Trail Blazers tips off at 9 p.m. ET.
