Paul Pierce Makes Bold Claim About Being Able to Take On Lakers' LeBron James in Video
Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce claimed this week that he could effectively guard the current version of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
Speaking on No Fouls Given, the 48-year-old Pierce expressed his belief that despite not having played in the NBA since the 2016-17 season, he could presently handle the 40-year-old James on the court:

"I can guard this version of LeBron right now," Pierce said. "Not LeBron last game, but the last three games before that? I can guard him."
Since missing the start of the season due to sciatica, James has appeared in only eight games this season, averaging a career-low 16.5 points per game.
However, the NBA's all-time leading scorer recently showed signs that he has plenty left in the tank, scoring a season-high 29 points in a 112-108 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
