Kevin Durant Sends Druski Meme to Rockets Fan After Amen Thompson's 31-Point Game

Averaging more than 25 points per game in his 18th season hasn't stopped Kevin Durant from maintaining his presence on NBA social media this fall.

Durant got more than 130,000 likes by responding to an Oct. 29 post from a Rockets fan with a Druski meme.

The original poster had pledged not to post again until Amen Thompson recorded a 30-point game for the Rockets. Thompson scored 31 points against the visiting Phoenix Suns one week later.

Durant contributed 28 points and eight assists to Friday's 117-98 win over the Suns.

That outing made Durant the eighth player in NBA history to record 31,000 career points. He also tied LeBron James to rank behind only Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain as the third-fastest player to reach the milestone.

The victory helped the Rockets improve to 15-5 on the season, keeping Houston ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets for second place in the Western Conference.

Thompson, Durant and the Rockets are set to return to action Saturday night with a road game against the Dallas Mavericks. The struggling Mavs recently put together a three-game win streak, although the team is most recently coming off a 21-point road loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
