The Suns were without Devin Booker, who was sidelined with a right groin strain he suffered during Phoenix's 125-108 road win against the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 1. He will be reevaluated next Wednesday, Dec. 10, per ESPN.

Without the team's leading scorer, Dillon Brooks paced the Suns, finishing with 23 points, four rebounds and four assists as Phoenix fell to 13-10.

Fans reacted to Durant's win while he made history in the process, leading the Rockets to a 15-5 record.

The Rockets held a 10-point lead over the Suns at halftime, led by 21 points from Durant while Amen Thompson added 14. Phoenix's Brooks entered the break with 18 points.

Houston opened up a decisive lead throughout the second half, holding the Suns to 14 points in the third quarter to pave the way for a 19 point victory.

The Rockets will look to carry their momentum into their next matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on the road in the second night of their back-to-back on Saturday.
