Chris Paul Posts FaceTime Photo with Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan amid Clippers Exit
After being released by the Los Angeles Clippers, Chris Paul had to debrief with some of his former teammates.
The legendary point guard posted an Instagram story of him FaceTiming Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, who played with him during his first stint with the Clippers. The three appeared to be laughing.
Paul is believed to be retiring at the end of the 2025-26 campaign and hoped to have his retirement tour with the team he played for during some of his best years. That retirement tour with the Clippers came to an end when the team sent him home from a road trip and told him he will no longer be on the team.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Paul's leadership style "clashed" with head coach Ty Lue and the Clippers. Charania noted that "Paul has been vocal in holding management, coaches and players accountable, which the team felt became disruptive."
Paul is now looking for a team to call home as he finishes off what has been a tremendous career. While the 40-year-old hasn't been very productive this year, he could still be a valuable veteran to have in the locker room, so long as he and the coaching staff see more eye-to-eye.
