Steelers' Heyward Alleges Bills' Josh Allen Kneed Him, Explains What 'Pisses Me Off'

Timothy RappNov 30, 2025

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward told reporters on Sunday that Josh Allen kneed him during the Buffalo Bills' 26-7 win.

"Being kneed in my stomach, and then just jawing back and forth," he told reporters when asked about the confrontations between Allen and Heyward during the game, including one incident where the veteran defender was flagged for taunting. "Ticked off the entire game because as a quarterback, they're protected but I'm not. Just pisses me off."

Heyward said after the game that Allen purposefully kneed him and even told him, "I had to do something to get you off of me."

Allen had a slightly different take on the interaction between the two.

"Maybe a little bit," he told reporters when asked if their back-and-forth got him going in the second half. "You know, love the competitiveness out of this game. He's such a great player. Sometimes you need fire like that to get you going."

Winning makes that sort of confrontation a bit easier to take. The Steelers haven't been doing much winning lately, losers of five of their last seven games.
