Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey ran two dogs, Howie and Spike, through the Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge Agility Show on Nov. 16 (which was televised on Thanksgiving as part of the 2025 National Dog Show).

"It was really fun. They got me out here sweating," Maxey said on NBC's broadcast of the event. "Like I just played a whole quarter. I think I'm going to stick to staying on the court."
The Sixers don't need Maxey adding to his current workload. Given the spate of injuries the team has faced this year, Maxey is playing an unsustainable 39.9 minutes per game this season, though he's been one of the league's best players in the process (32.2 PPG, 7.5 APG, 40.9 percent from three).
As for the Dog Show itself, Soleil the Belgian Sheepdog was named Best in Show.
