Josh Hart Trolls Jalen Brunson Getting Hit in Head by LaMelo Ball Pass in Viral Video

Josh Hart poked fun at his New York Knicks teammate, Jalen Brunson, on Thursday after Brunson took a basketball off the dome during Wednesday's 129-101 win over the Charlotte Hornets.

During the first quarter of the game, Hornets guard LaMelo Ball attempted to pass the ball into the paint, but the ball ended up hitting Brunson in the head before bouncing out of bounds:

In a post on X, Hart joked with his Roommates Show podcast co-host, writing, "Way to use your head my boy @jalenbrunson1."

There were no hard feelings between Ball and Brunson after the play, as Ball offered an apologetic fist bump, which Brunson accepted.

Taking a basketball to the face did little to slow Brunson down on Wednesday night, as he scored a game-high 33 points on 14-of-28 shooting to go along with three assists and two rebounds.

The 29-year-old Brunson has been an All-Star and All-NBA selection in each of the past two seasons, and he is heading in that direction once again in 2025-26.

Through 15 games, Brunson is averaging 28.6 points, 6.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds per contest, while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from three-point range.

After reaching the Eastern Conference Finals last season, the Knicks entered this season as one of the top picks to represent the East in the 2026 NBA Finals.

Although they have had their ups and downs, Wednesday's win gave them an 11-6 record, which is good for the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, 3.5 games behind the first-place Detroit Pistons.
