Steph Curry Wears Travis Scott Air Jordans Before Warriors vs. Rockets in Video, Photo
Stephen Curry's shoe free agency tour continued on Wednesday.
Ahead of the Golden State Warriors' matchup against the Rockets, the star point guard arrived at the arena wearing the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low in a tribute to the rapper's hometown of Houston.
He wore the Puma HALI 1 once he took the court.
Earlier this month, Curry and his longtime shoe sponsor, Under Armour, announced plans to split after more than a decade working together. He will release one final signature shoe with the brand in February.
Without a shoe sponsor, Curry has the freedom to wear whatever sneakers he wants, and he's taking full advantage. Since announcing the split, Curry has been wearing a variety of shoe brands, each relating in some way to the team he's playing.
He wore Dwyane Wade's Way of Wade 1 against the Miami Heat last week before giving a nod to Magic legends when the Warriors faced Orlando, wearing Shaquille O'Neal's signature Reebok shoes and Penny Hardaway's Air Penny 2.
On Monday, Curry wore the "Flu Game" Air Jordan 12 in the tunnel before the "Last Shot" Air Jordan 14 for warmups ahead of a game against the Utah Jazz, paying homage to Michael Jordan's iconic games against the Jazz.
He wore Sabrina Ionescu's Sabrina 3's against the Jazz.
After that game, Curry said he plans to "honor certain eras, moments in the game, current athletes," adding that fans should be on the lookout for what he wears next.
"It's kind of cool understanding the history of the game and the themes around certain teams we're playing," Curry told reporters. "So I brought out the 'Flu Games' and the 'Final Shots.' And then played in the Sabrina 3.
"So just kinda … Everybody should be on alert. I'm calling everybody. Trying to get some good product but it's just fun to, again, honor certain eras, moments in the game, current athletes who are doing great things and just having fun with it."
