Updated 2026 NFL Draft Order After Week 12 Results, Who Could Titans & Giants Take?

Joe TanseyNov 23, 2025

The Tennessee Titans and New York Giants moved another step closer to selecting in the top two of the 2026 NFL draft on Sunday.

Tennessee fell to 1-10 with a loss to the Seattle Seahawks, while the New York Giants dropped to 2-10 with an overtime defeat to the Detroit Lions.

The good news for both franchises is they don't have to worry about landing a franchise quarterback from a 2026 draft class that doesn't have many notable signal-callers at the top of draft boards.

Tennessee and New York could both land some of the top defensive prospects to complement what they are building on offense with Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart.

Caleb Downs

2 of 4
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 22 Rutgers at Ohio State

Caleb Downs is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2026 draft class, according to Bleacher Report's NFL scouting department.

Downs would be an immediate upgrade to either the Titans or Giants secondary, and frankly, he'd be a welcome addition to a pair of defenses that entered Sunday in the top 11 in total yards allowed.

New York's secondary has been gashed much more in 2025 than Tennessee's unit. He would be an excellent complement to Dexter Lawrence and the bevy of pass-rushers the Giants possess.

Downs should be on the radar of both teams since quarterback should not be the top priority on either end.

The only way the Titans or Giants prioritize a signal-caller is if their incoming coaches do not believe in Ward or Dart, but that would be an extreme decision to make on second-year quarterbacks in 2026.

Rueben Bain Jr.

3 of 4
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 22 Miami at Virginia Tech

Rueben Bain Jr. is one of a few elite defensive linemen in the draft class.

The Miami defensive lineman checks in at No. 2 on the B/R NFL scouting department big board.

Bain has 99 tackles and 14 sacks in his three-year career with the Miami Hurricanes. He's rated as the best run-stopper and power-rusher in the draft class by B/R's Matt Holder.

Tennessee could use Bain more than New York because it needs an additional complement to T'Vondre Sweat and Jeffrey Simmons on the interior.

New York won't say no to an edge-rushing partner to Brian Burns, but it could chase a potential star at another position because of Burns' presence on the roster.

While the defensive stars top the marquee, a handful of offensive difference-makers could be chosen in the top two as well.

Jordyn Tyson

4 of 4
Texas Tech v Arizona State

Jordyn Tyson is rated as the top wide receiver in the 2026 draft class by B/R's NFL scouting department.

It might be hard to justify taking an offensive skill position player over a defensive impact-maker at No. 1 or No. 2.

However, Tennessee can justify taking Tyson at No. 1 because of the state of its current wide receiver room.

Calvin Ridley's been hurt for most of the season, and while Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike are nice pieces to have, the Titans need a difference-making No. 1 similar to what the Giants have in Nabers.

Tyson is two touchdowns away from his second straight double-digit touchdown season at Arizona State. He had 1,101 receiving yards a year ago.

Taking Tyson, or Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, at No. 1 can be viewed as a reach, but at some point, the offenses of the teams at the top of the draft order must get better.
