Lakers' Bronny James Talks Working On Improving Off-Ball Play During G League Stint
After making his G League debut on Friday night, Bronny James offered some insight into what he wants to improve on during this stint with the South Bay Lakers.
James told reporters following the Lakers' 115-95 win over the Santa Cruz Warriors his "focus" is on getting better at playing off the ball.

James also mentions a conversation he had with Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Reddick prior to him being assigned to the G League about "all the ball handlers" they have on the NBA club right now as a big reason for him to get better without the ball.
After LeBron James returned to the Lakers' lineup on Tuesday, it could be reasonably argued they now have the two best ball-handlers in the NBA between him and Luka Dončić.
Austin Reaves has also proven to be very effective as a primary ball-handler when he was tasked with running the offense during the three games Dončić missed in October due to finger and leg injuries.
As a result of that trio, there aren't going to be a lot of opportunities for other players on the Lakers to control the ball. James is also in a position where he needs to get more consistent playing time to further his development.
The 21-year-old appeared in 10 games with Los Angeles prior to being assigned to the G League, but six of those appearances featured fewer than 10 minutes of play time.
James played 31 minutes on Friday night, scoring 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting, and dishing out eight assists.
Santa Cruz and South Bay will meet again on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.
