What Shoes Will Steph Curry Wear After Under Armour Split? Latest Rumors on NBA Star
Stephen Curry remains a sneaker free agent.
According to Daniel Roberts and Baker Machado of Front Office Sports, the Golden State Warriors star is allowed to wear any shoe brand he wants during games. Curry has warmed up wearing Nike and Reebok sneakers, but has still only worn his signature Under Armour shoes during regular-season contests.
Curry and Under Armour announced last Thursday that they would be going their separate ways following a partnership that lasted over a decade.
The decision came after Under Armour planned to move on from partnerships following a Sept. 30 announcement that showed a net loss of nearly $19 million on revenue of $1.33 billion, per Forbes' Tim Newcomb.
Curry has had some fun with his looming shoe decision, as he was spotted wearing the signature shoe lines of Shaquille O'Neal and Penny Hardaway prior to Golden State's clash with the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.
Curry Brand will remain in place after the split with Under Armour, and interest should still be high in the 11-time All-Star. Curry has shown that he's continued to be one of the NBA's most popular players, as the league announced in April that he ranked No. 2 in NBAStore.com jersey sales during the 2024-25 season.
The two-time MVP has still been deadly from behind the arc as he begins his 17th season with the Warriors, averaging 27.9 points and 4.1 assists to go along with 3.6 rebounds per game on 46.4/38.9/91.3 shooting splits this year.
