NFL Draft 2026 Scouting Report for BYU LB Isaiah Glasker
Isaiah Glasker is a linebacker prospect who is a converted wide receiver, which shows up in his game both positively and negatively. The 6'5", 240-pound backer is an impressive athlete and smooth mover to be effective in coverage, but his ability to take on blocks and defend the run needs work.
Glasker went to BYU as a 3-star recruit and was considered an "athlete" in the 2021 class. He redshirted as a true freshman and served a Mormon mission, making him an older draft prospect as he'll be 24 on Oct. 8.
In 2023, Glasker switched positions and was primarily a special teams contributor before enjoying a breakout campaign at linebacker the following year.
He racked up 70 total tackles, led the Big 12 with 14.5 tackles for loss, had 3.5 sacks, three interceptions (one pick-six) and four passes defended to earn honorable mention All-American and first-time All-Conference recognition by the media.

Where He Wins
1 of 4
- Glasker has a good frame with room to add weight and appears to have long arms.
- Impressive speed and overall movement skills with smooth his to change direction and mirror running backs and tight ends in man coverage.
- Uses hands well in coverage to help stay in phase and avoid getting out-muscled when tight ends get physical at the top of routes.
- Has the lateral movement skills to tighten throwing windowns in zone coverage and has shown improvement at reading the quarterback's eyes to anticipate throws.
- Athleticism, including a good vertical, helps him make plays on the ball in coverage that a lot of other linebackers can't. Wide receiver background helps here, too.
- Flashed the ability to slip blocks from offensive linemen on the second level by using his quickness and change of direction skills.
Areas of Improvement
2 of 4
- Glasker is lean and struggles to hold his ground as a run defender against offensive linemen.
- Often slow to key and diagnose run plays, especially zone runs.
- Also, takes on blocks with little need bend, playing too upright, and needs to use his hands more when taking on blocks.
- Lacks the extension and strength to escape blocks from offensive linemen.
- Likes to lunge and leave his feet when making tackles, leading to a lot of misses. This has been his biggest area of regression in 2025.
- Often struggles to locate or doesn't see threats coming into his area when playing zone coverage, leading to him leaving receivers open and making him reliant on reading the quarterback.
- Doesn't use his hands when rushing the passer and often gets ridden inside because of his lack of strength and lean frame.
