He also became just one of eight NBA players in league history to amass 10,000 or more career assists, joining James, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and Mark Jackson.

Westbrook needed five dimes to hit the 10K mark entering the evening. He didn't waste much time getting there, with his fifth assist occurring just past the midway point of the second quarter.

Kings big man Domantas Sabonis finished off a pick-and-roll with Westbrook to get the job done and tie his team's NBA Cup road game with the Minnesota Timberwolves at 47 apiece.

Westbrook is in his 18th NBA season and first with the Kings. He's a nine-time All-NBA player, two-time scoring champion and one-time MVP who landed on the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team. The ex-UCLA star has also averaged a triple-double on four different occasions.
