When Will Kawhi Leonard Return from Injury? Latest Rumors on Clippers Star's Status
Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard is reportedly set to make his return from foot and ankle injuries as soon as Sunday.
According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Leonard is on track to suit up for the Clippers' game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Leonard's health has been a storyline a number of times throughout his career, including this season in November when he was sidelined with a right ankle sprain. Head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters on Nov. 8 the forward was "gonna miss the next few games. But nothing serious."
The two-time Defensive Player of the Year was limited to just 37 games last season and hasn't reached the 70-game mark in a campaign since 2016-17.
When healthy, he is one of the best players of his generation with two championships, two NBA Finals MVPs, six All-NBA selections and a spot on the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team on his resume.
Through six appearances this season, Leonard is averaging 24.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists a night.
