Memphis will wear the jerseys for the first time during a matchup with the Sacramento Kings on Nov. 20.

The uniforms are an updated version of the Grizzlies' 2020-21 City Edition uniforms, which paid homage to Stax Records and the life of Memphis singer/songwriter Isaac Hayes.

The new jerseys have switched from primarily black and gold coloring to white and platinum coloring, mimicking the upgrade from gold to platinum records.

Memphis will be hoping that the introduction of the City Edition uniforms can help get the team back on track, as its opened the year with a 4-6 record while owning the No. 22 net rating in the league (via NBA.com).

Morant has averaged 20.1 points and 7.9 assists per game while shooting 37.9 percent from the field and 12.8 percent from three-point territory. Opposing teams are reportedly monitoring his relationship with the Grizzlies as well as head coach Tuomas Iisalo.

One bright spot for Memphis has been rookie Cedric Coward, who has averaged 15.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game on 55.4/43.6/91.2 shooting splits across his first 10 appearances.

As the Grizzlies look to clinch their fifth playoff appearance in six seasons, their new uniforms are a remix from the first year they advanced to the postseason with Morant leading the way.
