Klay Thompson Apologizes to Megan Thee Stallion for Being Late to Airport on Video

Klay Thompson made sure to express regret for being late to pick up his girlfriend Megan The Stallion at the airport.

The Grammy award winning rapper shared a video Friday of herself holding a bouquet of roses Thompson gifted her as an apology.

Thompson first appeared to confirm his relationship with Megan The Stallion, born Megan Pete, in an Instagram post this July.

Thompson's post came after he appeared in the background of a photo posted by Pete earlier that week.

The couple officially confirmed their relationship status on July 17 when attending a gala hosted by the rapper's Pete & Thomas Foundation.

Pete, 30, then seemingly hinted she and Thompson were moving in together in an Oct. 29 post on Instagram.

Thompson, 35, has seen his shooting drop to 34.2 percent from the field and 29.2 percent from deep during the Mavericks' 2-6 start to the 2025-26 season.

He's averaging 8.5 points and 1.8 assists through eight games, both of which would stand as full-season career lows.

That drop in production led to Thompson getting moved out of the starting lineup in place of D'Angelo Russell for the first time during Wednesday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

If relegated to the bench for a second game, Thompson will look to play his way back into the lineup when the Mavericks take on the Memphis Grizzlies on the road in Friday night NBA Cup action.
