Victor Oladipo Reportedly Signs Contract to Enter NBA G League Player Pool
Former NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo is continuing his professional career in the G League.
Per NBA insider Jake Fischer, Oladipo is heading to the Wisconsin Herd after a trade from the Santa Cruz Warriors. Fischer previously reported that Oladipo signed a contract to enter the G League player pool.
Since G League rosters had to be set on Thursday ahead of opening day on Friday, players who sign into the league were entered into the player pool. Teams could file a claim for any player in the pool. Santa Cruz claimed Oladipo before making a trade to Wisconsin.

Claims are awarded based on the waiver order that rotates throughout the season.
Oladipo most recently played for the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association. He was with the team for their games against the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers during the NBA preseason last month.
In the Oct. 6 game against the Spurs, Oladipo put up 20 points, five rebounds and five steals in 29 minutes. He was even better three days later against the Clippers, finishing with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting, five assists and two steals in 27 minutes.
Oladipo hasn't played in the NBA since the 2022-23 season with the Miami Heat. He appeared in 42 games during the regular season, but suffered a torn patellar tendon in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The injury kept Oladipo out of action for the entire 2023-24 campaign. He also sat out all of 2024-25, making Oct. 6 with Guangzhou his first official game in 30 months.
"It's been great," Oladipo told Sam Yip of HoopsHype about being able to play again. "I know it's been like two and a half, almost three years. So it's been great to be out there and compete against the best, and I've been really enjoying myself."
Oladipo made back-to-back All-Star appearances during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons while playing for the Indiana Pacers. He has a career average of 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game in 10 NBA seasons with five different teams from 2013 to '23.
The 2025-26 G League season began on Friday.
