Luka Doncic, Victor Wembanyama, Steph Curry Headline NBA 2K26 Player Ratings Update

Stephen Curry is 37 years old and playing in his 17th season, but he is still getting better.

At least in the eyes of NBA 2K26.

The video game released its latest set of player rating updates Thursday, and the Golden State Warriors star was one of a handful of headliners who saw a boost in their overall numbers. He went up by one point to a 95 overall, which was the same boost to the same total as San Antonio Spurs big man Victor Wembanyama.

Elsewhere, Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić received a two-point boost to 97 overall, while Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey benefited from his hot start to the season with a three-point increase to 89 overall.

Maxey leads the league in scoring at 33.5 points per game and has established himself as Philadelphia's go-to option for a team that is off to a 5-3 start and in early playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference.

The 25-year-old Maxey, 26-year-old Dončić and 21-year-old Wembanyama are all at the stages of their careers where on-court improvements in both the real and virtual worlds are expected.

The same cannot be said about Curry, but he continues to play at an elevated level for the 5-4 Warriors. In fact, he is leading the NBA with 4.4 made three-pointers per game while averaging 26.8 points in 31.1 minutes a night.

He continues to be a marvel and is now ranked ahead of some of his veteran contemporaries in the video game, such as LeBron James (94 overall) and Kevin Durant (93 overall).

James is yet to play this season, so perhaps he can also put himself in position to receive a ratings boost when he does return to the court. For now, though, Dončić is leading the way for the Lakers with the King sidelined and moving up in the NBA 2K26 world as well.
