Spurs Reveal 'Fiesta' Throwback Uniforms, Court for 2025-26 Season in New Photos

The San Antonio Spurs unveiled their City Edition uniforms for the 2025-26 season on Tuesday, bringing back a popular look first introduced in 2020.

San Antonio's alternate unis feature what is known as the "Fiesta" colorway, which is a teal, pink and orange triple stripe:

The triple stripe was part of the Spurs' primary logo from 1989 to 2002, and the 2020-21 season marked the first time it was ever featured on their jersey.

On the City Edition uniforms, "San Antonio" is featured prominently on the chest with the "paintbrush stroke" triple stripes underneath. The triple stripes are also utilized on the side of the shorts to bring the look together.

Those same uniforms were a hit in 2020-21, and while the Spurs have tested out several other alternate unis since then, they are going back to what works.

The colorful stripes are perhaps most reminiscent of the 1998-99 season when Hall of Famers Tim Duncan and David Robinson led the Spurs to their first championship in franchise history.

San Antonio has won four more championships since then, but none were during the paintbrush stroke logo era.

Per the Spurs' official website, the City Edition uniforms will be worn both this season and next season, and their debut is set for Nov. 12 when the Spurs host the Golden State Warriors.

Through their first six games, the Spurs have been among the best teams in the league so far this season with a 5-1 record.

Only the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder are off to a better start at 7-0.

The biggest reason for San Antonio's success has been 7'4" superstar center Victor Wembanyama, who has developed into an MVP candidate during his third NBA campaign.

Wemby is doing it all for the Spurs, averaging 26.7 points, 13.7 rebounds, 4.7 blocks, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 three-pointer made per contest.

The Spurs have not reached the playoffs since the 2018-19 season, but now they are looking like not only a playoff team, but a potential championship contender as well.

Because of that, it is fitting that the Spurs are re-introducing a popular colorway from one of the most successful times in franchise history.
