Myles Turner Says '$40M Difference' Made Bucks-Pacers Contract Decision 'Very Easy'

Milwaukee Bucks veteran center Myles Turner has no regrets about leaving the Indiana Pacers to sign with one of their biggest rivals this past offseason.

While speaking to ESPN's Jamal Collier, Turner opened up about his decision to sign with the Bucks in free agency after spending the first 10 seasons of his career with the Pacers, saying that he didn't feel like the offer from Indiana matched his worth to the franchise.

"[Indiana] made it very clear how they valued me," Turner said. "And so did the Milwaukee Bucks."

Turner signed a four-year, $107 million contract with the Bucks in July. He had spent the past few years as the subject of trade rumors, and the difference between Milwaukee's and Indiana's offers helped erase any hesitancy to secure a new home.

"I've always been told when I was in trade rumors, this is a business, this is a business, this is a business," Turner said. "And that's kind of what this decision was for me. It was a business decision. It's unfortunate that it came at the time that it did, but it's a $40 million difference at the end of the day."

He added, "There were a lot of factors that went into the decision, but Indiana made it very easy for me."

Turner will face his old team for the first time when the Bucks (4-2) visit the Pacers (1-5) on Monday night.
