Kevin Durant Stunned After Learning Price of His Most Expensive Trading Card on Video
Kevin Durant was surprised to learn about the price of his most expensive trading card sold.
After the Houston Rockets star initially guessed that it was worth $112,000, he was astonished when he was notified that the record was actually $780,000.
Durant's 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Rookie Card sold for $780,000 in 2021, as it featured his signature as well as a piece of his game-used jersey from his rookie season as a member of the Seattle SuperSonics.
The high prices for the 15-time All-Star's cards are understandable given his legendary career, with two championships and two Finals MVP awards to go along with an MVP honor under his belt.
Durant has opened his first season with Houston on a high note, averaging 27.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game on 52.2/36.8/84.6 shooting splits through four appearances.
