Los Angeles Lakers forward Jake LaRavia referenced Anthony Edwards' comments about him on Instagram following the Lakers' 116-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

"Who's number 12," LaRavia wrote in the caption of a post on Thursday.

After a fan called out to ask who No. 12 on the Lakers was in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's contest, Edwards yelled back that he didn't know either.

LaRavia ended up scoring 27 points on 10-of-11 shooting during the victory.

He also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out two assists, recording a steal and block apiece.

Edwards didn't participate in the game due to a hamstring injury.

The Timberwolves came back from a 16-point fourth quarter deficit to take a one-point lead with 10 seconds left in the period, but Austin Reaves ultimately connected on a buzzer-beating floater that gave Los Angeles the win.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick praised LaRavia after the win.

"Very early in his Laker career but clearly his best game as a Laker," Redick told reporters following the game (3:44 mark). "I'm really happy for him."

"For Jake as a Laker, this game now is a reference point," he added.

LaRavia is starting his inaugural season in the purple and gold, playing for the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings across his first three years in the NBA before agreeing to a two-year contract worth $12 million with Los Angeles in June.

The former first-round pick has averaged 10.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 52.9 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point territory through five appearances this season.
