Spurs' Victor Wembanyama Says He Won't Wear Halloween Costume After Past Viral Moments
San Antonio Spurs superstar big man Victor Wembanyama told reporters that people won't be seeing him in a Halloween costume this year with the holiday falling on an off-day for the team this season.
The Spurs have played on Halloween in each of the last two seasons.
In 2023, Wembanyama dressed up as Slender Man. He finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in a 115-114 road win over the Phoenix Suns.
In 2024, Wembanyama showed up as Kaonashi (No-Face) from the 2001 animated fantasy film, Spirited Away.
The big man authored a dominant 5x5 performance in a 106-88 home win over the Utah Jazz, posting 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five blocks and five steals.
This year, the Spurs don't play on Halloween, which falls on Friday. San Antonio's next game is Thursday at home against the Miami Heat, and then the team goes on a two-game Western Conference road trip to play the Phoenix Suns on Sunday and the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old has been sensational thus far in his third NBA season, averaging 33.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 4.8 blocks and 1.5 steals per game for a 4-0 Spurs team leading the Western Conference.
