Williamson was sensational in his own right, amassing 27 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals.
The Spurs led 104-98, but Williamson capped an 8-0 run with a mid-range jumper with 32 seconds left for a 106-104 advantage.
However, Stephon Castle responded with a three for a 107-106 lead.
Williamson hit one-of-two free throws with 12 seconds left to tie the game. The Spurs had one final possession but could not convert.
San Antonio controlled overtime even though Wembanyama fouled out early in the period. A 9-1 Spurs run propelled San Antonio to victory.
