SGA Scores 55, Thunder Make History in NBA Finals Rematch 2OT Win vs. Siakam, Pacers
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder once again needed six periods to win a game on Thursday night.
OKC defeated the Indiana Pacers in double overtime behind a career-high 55 points from SGA.
OKC's second double-overtime win in two games set NBA history. No team started the regular season with a pair of 2OT contests.
OKC received a huge test from the Pacers, even with Tyrese Haliburton sidelined. Pascal Siakam scored 32 points, while Bennedict Mathurin led Indiana with 36 points.
Gilgeous-Alexander's performance came without Jalen Williams and a handful of depth players available for the Thunder.
SGA will likely have to carry the scoring load again on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks, a game the Thunder hope ends in regulation.
