When Iverson was a member of the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2001-02 season, he fielded questions from the media regarding his participation in practice. While attempting to change the conversation to his impact during games instead, he mentioned the word "practice" 22 times.
Iverson played in the NBA from 1996 through 2010, earning one MVP and four scoring titles to go along with 11 All-Star appearances. He ended his career with averages of 26.7 points, 6.2 assists and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 42.5 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from three-point territory.
Iverson's jersey was retired by the 76ers in 2014 and he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame two years later.
