Deion Sanders Stunned By Shohei Ohtani's Historic NLCS G4 with Dodgers, 'He Did What?'
Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani's NLCS Game 4 performance left everyone stunned—including a former two-way football and baseball star.
Colorado football coach Deion Sanders, who played on both sides of the ball and had an MLB career, reacted to Ohtani's performance on Tuesday.
"That is ridiculous, man," Sanders said (18:40 mark). "He did what? Can they just hand him the MVP during the game?"

Sanders didn't go as far as to say Ohtani's performance was the best individual showing in sports history, but he called his game "unfathomable."
"Yeah, because he's doing something unfathomable," Sanders said. "I'm not gonna say sports history, because I can't recount everything that has transpired in sports history... I've seen some wonderful things that have transpired in sports that it's hard for me to say that, but that is unbelievable, man."
Ohtani, who had struggled at the plate for much of the postseason, went 3-for-3 with three home runs, three RBI and a walk against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday. On the mound, he pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and picking up 10 strikeouts as Los Angeles won 5-1 to advance to the World Series.
Sanders is hoping Ohtani's success will lead to a generation of two-way players.
"I hope he opens the door for others. Because there's many pitchers that can do both, but they're never allowed to do so," Sanders told reporters. "They put them in a pocket and say, 'You just need to do that.'"
Much like Ohtani, Sanders was a two-way player, winning NFL Defensive Player of the Year as a cornerback while also taking snaps at wide receiver. He also hit 39 home runs and won a World Series as a baseball player.
